Lee Bowyer will be hoping to start strongly at his new club.

Bowyer was promoted from assistant manager after Karl Robinson left the club to become Oxford United manager.

The club have struggled recently with one point in the last four games, but they are still in a promising position because they are only five points away from the play-offs with a game in hand.

Their next game is against Plymouth Argyle, who are in that final play-off spot, so this could be a pivotal game for the club which only adds to the pressure on Bowyer.

Here's the lineup he should use to give the Addicks the best chance of coming away with a positive result.

Amos hasn't missed a game yet in the league this season and that is unlikely to change against Plymouth due to his reliability.

Dijksteel is likely to come in for Ezri Konsa who is on international duty with the England Under-20s. This is a big chance for Dijksteel because he wasn't given many opportunities under Karl Robinson.

Bowyer is unlikely to make any radical changes due to working under Robinson, so Bauer is likely to start.

Pearce should start alongside Bauer at the centre of defence after they managed to keep a clean sheet against Fleetwood Town.

Jay DaSilva is still recovering from injury, so Sarr is likely to continue in the left-back spot.

Aribo is likely to continue in midfield because Ahmed Kashi is still out with injury.

Forster-Caskey will partner Aribo in front of the defence. He was a key part of Robinson's teams due to his ability to bring order in the midfield third through his intelligent defensive contributions.

Kaikai should replace Mark Marshall on the right wing in order to bring some creativity and energy down that flank which will unsettle the Plymouth defence and provide space in the centre.

Reeves is likely to start in the advanced midfield role. He will be instrumental in linking up the lone forward with the midfield especially when he is being used as an outlet.

Fosu will start on the left and he is tasked with creating openings in the opposition through his dribbling ability and trickiness. Along with Kaikai on the opposite wing, they should provide plenty of chances from wide positions.

Magennis is unavailable due to international commitments so Zyro should step in. He scored the last goal of Robinson's tenure which was actually three games ago. That was his only goal in the league this season, but he has only played 169 minutes so far.
