It's 2 wins in 18 for Birmingham City boss Gianfranco Zola, who would have been mightily relieved to have grabbed a point away at Cardiff City this weekend.

The Blues look destined for yet another loss following a Ralls penalty, but up popped Lukas Jutkiewicz to save Blues from yet another defeat, as the game ended 1-1 in Cardiff.

It was probably about the right result but with the bottom-three edging ever closer and rivals around them beginning to pick up points, it's imperative the Italian gets a couple of wins under his belt to assure Birmingham's safety when May rolls around.

It's been a horrible few months for all involved at the club but getting team selection right in a tough-looking run of fixtures is seriously important if Blues are going to pick up anything.

So with that in mind, here's 2 players Gianfranco Zola must drop from the Birmingham XI for their Championship run-in...

Paul Robinson

You can't for a minute doubt that veteran defender and captain Paul Robinson wears his heart on his sleeve and does his best for the side.

His passion, grit and determination has never at all been in doubt but at 38-years-old, it's clear the former Bolton man is struggling to keep pace with some of the division's younger stars.

And with Arsenal loanee Krytian Bielik giving a good account of himself in Cardiff this weekend, giving Robinson a breather might not be a bad shout in the slightest.

Josh Cogley

Again, another man who was dropped for the game against Cardiff City was youngster Josh Cogley, who has been playing in a back-three over the past few weeks.

But at just 21-years-old and naturally a right-back, at times he's struggled to keep things tight at the back.

It's not his fault in the slightest and he's been asked to play a position for the team, which he'll undoubtedly do to get time on the pitch.

But slotting Grounds in at centre-back and shifting Cheick Keita out wide makes more sense as Blues look to steady the ship over the coming weeks.
