Bristol City's Zak Vyner is experiencing a season-long loan with Scottish Premiership side Aberdeen, with the defender still harbouring hopes of getting into the Bristol City first team.

Vyner, who can play as a right back or a centre back, has made seven appearances for Aberdeen so far and featured predominantly, the defender performing his defending duties to a high standard while not being able to contribute in an attacking sense just yet.

The 22-year-old is out to prove a point to Robins manager Lee Johnson and Aberdeen is proving to be the perfect point to do that so far this season, Vyner getting some rave reviews off of different Aberdeen supporters however the former Rotherham United man has also had his rocky periods during games and had his inconsistencies as he's adjusted to the more technical approach of the SPL.

The loan spells that Vyner has had recently at Plymouth, Rotherham and now Aberdeen have set the defender up for the future, and he's adjusted to men's football well having not had much of a sniff at Bristol City since progressing through the academy and into the first team alongside the likes of AFC Bournemouth defender Lloyd Kelly.

Aberdeen are currently 4th in the SPL table and have 12 points from their opening eight league games, having scored 10 goals and conceded 10 over those games. Vyner and co also have hopes of helping Aberdeen break into the top three this season behind Celtic, Rangers and Motherwell, with Aberdeen currently four points off of the Europa League spots.
