Aston Villa are in need of some positives at the moment with them struggling financially and their future a bit up in the air.
It is thought that things aren’t as severe as initially thought but, even so, there is clearly plenty of work to do to keep the club from losing their prize assets.
Certainly, keeping Jack Grealish is going to be a real fight this summer for the Villans with Spurs lodging a bid for him last night.
Stan Collymore seems to think it’d be a good move for him, too, with him saying the club should let him go but, as expected, Villa fans do not really agree.
Let’s look at what has been said on Twitter in reaction to his comments:
Come on Stan. £15-million would be daylight robbery in today's market.

The price Grealish goes for will be the biggest barometer of the amount of trouble we're in
Keep him, or get £35m plus? All is good
Sell him for less than £20m? Start worrying about our viability to complete next season

You're not helping the situation with such comments…It's rare that a player connects with Villa supporters in such a way. If he leaves then Villa will lose its own identity. They are unwatchable without him. I'll never understand a football fan who wishes away their best. #AVFC pic.twitter.com/RVo6QhKQvM

Danny Drinkwater went to Chelsea for £35m at 27, Jack Grealish at 22 for £15m? I know we need the money but that's laughable

Poor from Collymore..

Jack deserves the choice and I agree if he left by free will I would totally understand. He’s earned it. But what if he wants to stay & we can’t give him that? I can’t just shrug my shoulders and wish him well because there are no winners. It’s tragic Stan & it’s the clubs fault.

Don't listen Jack, you're a villa boy, don't kick the club while it's down fella. We need every decent player that we have.

Most fans are against Collymore’s idea, then, and if the club did end up selling him for such a low amount it would surely suggest how desperate for cash they really are.
