The League Cup draw yesterday threw Leeds United up against Salford City, with the Whites set to reignite their rivalry with Manchester United’s ‘Class of 92’.

Leeds are fierce rivals with Manchester United and over the 1990s and early 2000s came up against the likes of the Neville brothers, Ryan Giggs, Nicky Butt, Paul Scholes and David Beckham.

Now, that famous ‘Class of 92’ have ownership of League Two Salford, who face Leeds in August’s first round of the League Cup.

Neville, who also works as a pundit for Sky Sports, took to Twitter shortly after the draw, welcoming Leeds back into his life after ’15 years’ – a reference to the Whites’ time outside the Premier League.

However, the Elland Road faithful have had the last laugh, pointing out to Neville that he was part of the Manchester United side when Leeds inflicted a 1-0 FA Cup defeat on them back in January 2010.

At the time Leeds were a League One side, whilst the Red Devils were Premier League Champions.

Here is a look at them pointing that out to Neville…
