Bradford City have confirmed the signing of Shay McCartan on their official website.

Shay McCartan joins the Bantams after an undisclosed transfer fee was agreed with Accrington Stanley.

The Irishman follows fellow forwards Paul Smith (Peterborough United) and Dominic Poleon (AFC Wimbledon) through the door at Bradford and becomes the fourth summer signing with Adam Chicksen (Charlton Athletic) also arriving.

McCartan puts pen to paper on a three-year deal with the Bantams and has been brought in to bolster the attacking options.

The 23-year-old plays as a central attacking midfielder, winger or as a centre-forward so his versatility could be useful in Bradford's League One promotion push.

The once-capped Northern Ireland international scored eleven times for Accrington Stanley in League Two last season.

Bradford fans took to social media to share their opinions on their new signing.
