There’s no denying the talent of Jack Clarke, with the Leeds United winger looking like he’s going to have a huge future in the game at the very top level.

Leeds were cautious with Clarke earlier this season and waited until October to hand him a debut, but since then he’s been a regular fixture in Marcelo Bielsa’s side.

The January transfer window that has just passed saw Clarke attract expected interest, with the Yorkshire Evening Post revealing that the Whites knocked back an approach from Crystal Palace for the winger.

Back in November 2017, Leeds moved to tie Clarke down to his first professional contract, with a long-term agreement giving the Whites the chance to knock back approaches and benefit from the teenager’s talents a little longer.

On his 17th birthday, Clarke put pen-to-paper on a contract that will run until the summer of 2021.

There are two years of that deal remaining, with Clarke now a big part of the first-team setup at Elland Road and surely deserving of a new agreement.

Now 18, Clarke has made 15 appearances in the Championship, with three of those coming in the starting XI.

He’s returned goals against Aston Villa and Nottingham Forest, whilst he’s registered important assists against Sheffield United and Derby County, with Clarke’s direct wing-play and final ball making him an excellent option for Bielsa.

In our latest FLW Rewind we take a look back the day Clarke signed his first professional terms with Leeds, with many fans recognising the talent the Whites had on their hands…
