Blackburn Rovers suffered an uncharacteristic hammering this weekend, losing 4-1 at Deepdale as Preston North End ran riot.

Rovers have been in good form since coming back from League One, but they had an off day on their travels, going 2-0 down within ten minutes. despite a goal just after half time, they were hit again twice in the last fifteen minutes as they searched for an equaliser themselves.

Midfielder Bradley Dack wasn't impressed with his own performance and felt the need to apologise to the fans for the abject way in which they found themselves defeated.

Not only was it a heavy loss, but it came in a local derby, with just ten miles separating the two sides.

Usually such a result would cause serious concerns amongst fans, but the Blackburn supporters who have replied to Dack's status seem placated by their excellent start to the season, accepting this was a freak result which can be put right quickly on Wednesday.

Eleventh placed Rovers make another short trip in midweek, this time to Wigan Athletic, looking to erase the memories of the loss and that chance is the focus of the fan's messages on Twitter, as you can see below.
