Fulham defender Ryan Fredericks will leave the club on a free transfer to join West Ham United.

After three years of service and 114 appearances for Fulham, Fredericks is set to depart after helping his side win promotion to the Premier League via the play-offs.

But he has switched Craven Cottage for the London Stadium, joining West Ham on a four-year deal and becoming Manuel Pellegrini's first signing since taking over from David Moyes this summer.

The 25-year-old was named in the EFL Championship Team of the Year and Fulham will either choose to replace him or promote Cyrus Christie and Steven Sessegnon at right-back.

The former Tottenham Hotspur youth player was attracting attention from a number of clubs given his contract situation but he will join the Hammers at the start of next month.

Fulham fans took to Twitter to discuss Fredericks' exit with a mixed bag of responses - here are a selection of the best bits of reaction following his exit.
