It was another entertaining weekend of Championship football, and we saw some surprising results.

But which side picked up the best victory of the weekend in the second tier?

The writers here at FLW issue their verdicts.....

Nobody expected Leeds United to go to Ashton Gate and put in the performance they did against Bristol City.

Thomas Christiansen’s side were exceptional all over the pitch, and the 3-0 score flattered the hosts. The Whites need to keep this up ahead of a tricky end to the month.

Credit to Hull City and Sunderland too. Hull ended their long wait for an away victory against Barnsley, whilst Sunderland put in a battling display to pick up a point against Brentford.

You'd have to say Leeds.

Cardiff City deserve a mention for a terrific result at Boro but Leeds stood out with an emphatic win at Ashton Gate. The Robins hadn't lost a home game all season but Leeds were far too good on the day.

It's even better when you consider Thomas Christiansen's men were under pressure following three defeats in a row. They can now focus on Friday's derby against Sheff Utd which is a massive game.

I'd hand that to Leeds.

The Whites went into the weekend well out of form and were coming up against a Bristol City side that would have fancied scoring and winning, especially in front of their own fans.

Instead, though, Thomas Christiansen showed that he can adapt his tactics at long last to help Leeds control the game from the very beginning in order to secure a fantastic win.
