The champions of the Championship have turned to the Premier League champions in their summer recruitment, as Norwich City are set to seal the signing of 22-year-old Manchester City winger Patrick Roberts on a season-long loan, as reported in The Sun.

Canaries manager Daniel Farke is ensuring he gets his summer transfer business completed early, with the youngster who spent last season on loan at Spanish La Liga side Girona all lined up so he is ready to go in pre-season.

But would Roberts get in Norwich's current starting XI?

We discuss........

George Dagless

"You'd find room for him.

"Norwich have some very technically gifted footballers and that cannot be forgotten.

"Roberts will have to push to get into the side, but I certainly think he is capable of that."

Alfie Burns

“It’s tough to say as Norwich’s attacking midfield options were superb in the Championship last season.

“However, it remains to be seen how they adapt to the Premier League, with Roberts waiting in the wings.

“You’ll probably have to wait and see how pre-season unfolds, but he’s got a chance.”

George Brooks

"I think so.

"Roberts would be a good signing for Norwich and he could be good enough to go straight into their starting XI.

"He is an exciting player and even if he doesn't get into the starting line-up every week, he would still be a great option for Daniel Farke to call on from the bench."
