Lee Johnson's summer recruitment drive reached a total of eight on Thursday with the permanent signing of Chelsea midfielder Kasey Palmer.

He follows Tomas Kalas, Jay Dasilva, Daniel Bentley, Sammie Szmodics, Robbie Cundy, Tommy Rowe and Rene Gilmartin into Ashton Gate as the Robins look to worm their way into the Premier League.

The 22-year-old became a fan favourite over the course of his 17 matches in 2018/19 scoring two goals and providing one more assist.

He was snapped up by the Blues from Charlton Athletic's youth system back in 2013 for around £200,000 but has gone on to make no appearances for the first-team in that time, although he became a staple in the reserve side, scoring ten goals in 39 appearances.
