Former Leeds United man Robert Snodgrass revealed his thoughts on being booed last night after returning to Elland Road.

Now with Aston Villa, Robert Snodgrass featured at Leeds United in a Friday night Championship clash which ended in a 1-1 draw.

A minority of Leeds fans directed boos at the 30-year-old but he still insisted in applauding the home supporters after match as a sign of respect.

The on-loan Aston Villa man spent four years with Leeds United after joining from Livingston back in 2008.

During his time, Snodgrass helped the Whites to promotion from League One.

Snodgrass said: "That was always the plan regardless [of] the result or me getting booed, they were amazing with me for four years."
