Plenty of Leeds fans have responded on Twitter to a farewell message from ex-youth player Tyler Denton.

Denton, 23, completed a permanent move to League Two side Stevenage on Thursday, after being at the club since he was six.

While the full back failed to ever establish himself in the first team fold at Leeds, he still had a big thanks to say to his followers and fellow Leeds fans.

The player tweeted this to his 21,800 followers: "I would just like to thank everybody associated with @LUFC who have helped me develop as a player and a person over the past 16-17 years. Everybody knows it was a dream of mine to play for Leeds as a boyhood fan. I wish the club all the best in the future."

Denton leaves Elland Road having featured just three times for the first team. He has had a number of loan spells though, including one at Peterborough last season where he featured 14 times.

Stevenage will be looking to improve on last season after they narrowly missed out on the League Two play-offs by one point.

Many Leeds fans were clearly touched by his tweet message and wanted to wish him well for the future.
