Leeds United's charge to the Premier League took another knock yesterday as they were beaten 2-1 at Stoke City.

They were forced to play the last quarter of an hour with ten men after defender Pontus Jansson was sent off, something he later apologised for on Twitter.

The big Swede was dismissed for a second bookable offence having been adjudged to have fouled Benik Afobe. As he left the pitch a small scuffle ensued when he tried to hand his shirt to a fan.

Leeds have had a rough ride with the FA of late, with 'spygate' still being investigated it could seem to their fan base that there's an agenda against them. Many have taken to Twitter to express their disgust at the red card, claiming that Jansson shouldn't have been sent off and that he has nothing to apologise for at all.

His fellow defender Liam Cooper is leading the charge, claiming Jansson has been 'unbelievable all season'. That's a thought that has been echoed by fans, some of whom claim the officials should be apologising and that Jansson is the victim.

Here's some of their responses to Jansson's tweet, starting with Liam Cooper.
