Plenty of Leeds United fans have reacted to Stuart McKinstry's tweet after the midfielder made his first start for the club's Under-23s against Watford.

The 16-year-old, who joined the Whites from Motherwell earlier this summer, produced an assured performance at Elland Road in the Professional Development League North clash.

Leeds got off to a flying start as Pascal Strujik headed home in the 11 minute before Eddie Nketiah doubled their advantage from the spot after McKinstry was brought down in the area.

Nketiah then added a third for the Whites on the stroke of half-time following neat work from Robbie Gotts.

Leeds' dominance continued in the second-half as substitute Tyler Roberts converted a spot-kick in the 47th minute.

Gotts then made it 5-0 before Luke Ayling fired in a sixth to secure an impressive victory for Carlos Corberan's side.

Following the clash, McKinstry posted on Twitter: "Buzzing to get my first start for the 23s at Elland Road, fans were unreal."

Upon seeing the midfielder's comment, plenty of Leeds fans reacted in a positive manner.
