Nottingham Forest recorded their first win of the season in the Carabao Cup and debutant John Bostock was pleased with his return to English football.
The 27-year-old has spent six years featuring for several sides in Europe but made a winning return at the City Ground last night, and Forest fans are very pleased with his contribution.
Bostock provided the assist for the winning goal and his control of midfield helped his side to 55% possession, as well as the team’s first clean sheet of the season.
There is considerable competition for places in the Forest midfield this season with eight players in the squad able to play in the middle of the park, but last night Bostock certainly made a strong claim that he should be considered.
If he continues to help the team in the same fashion he could even become a regular, and judging from responses on Twitter that would go down well with fans…
Bossed the midfield last night always wanted to get on the ball and get things going
