Plenty of Nottingham Forest fans have taken to social media to react to goalkeeper Brice Samba's message following the 1-0 defeat at Wigan Athletic.

The Reds missed the chance to go top of the Championship table and saw their ten-match unbeaten league run come to an end at the DW Stadium, thanks to Jamal Lowe's first-half goal.

It was a frustrating afternoon for Forest and Wigan could have easily won by more goals, if not for some fine saves from Samba - who was making his eighth league appearance for the Reds since joining from French side Caen in the summer.

The 25-year-old produced a number of smart stops as the hosts pushed for a second goal - although he could do nothing about Lowe's close-range finish ten minutes before half-time.

After the game, Samba took to social media to express his disappointment and sent a message to Forest fans on his Twitter feed, thanking them for their support and insisting that the team will bounce back.

Plenty of Forest fans were quick to respond to the goalkeeper's message and congratulate him on another impressive display between the sticks.
