Nottingham Forest owner Fawaz Al-Hasawi has issued an open letter to fans of the club via the official website.

The controversial owner assured fans of his: “complete and utter commitment to Nottingham Forest, and securing its long-term position as a thriving and successful club- both on and off the pitch.”

Al-Hasawi also confirmed he was looking to appoint a senior and experienced executive team to help bring the club stability, whilst also announcing the appointment of Samantha Gordon as Chief Financial Officer.

Forest’s proposed takeover by American John Jay Moores collapsed at the weekend, and Al-Hasawi commented on a potential takeover but wouldn’t go into details for confidentiality reasons.

The owner also confirmed the club were in discussions as they look for their next manager, following Philippe Montanier’s dismissal at the weekend.

The Midland’s club are currently 20th in the Sky Bet Championship, and sit just three-points above the relegation zone.
