Oxford United are hoping for a big end to the season.

The U's are in the chasing pack for a play-off spot in League One but will need their players to really dig in if they're to finish in the top six.

If only they had some of their ex-players in the ranks.

Oxford have had some excellent players in recent years who have moved on to careers at a higher level.

Here are eight former players and where they're currently plying their trade.

The defender spent six years with Oxford United before moving on in 2016.

Now 34, Wright is playing for Mansfield Town after signing a short-term deal with the club last month.

Martinez spent time on loan with Oxford United in 2017 during his time with West Ham United.

His time with the club wasn't hugely successful but he's certainly gone on to enjoy an excellent career with the player now featuring for Porto.

The goalkeeper made over 200 appearances for Oxford United during his time at the club.

Now 38 the player is plying his trade for Bath City.

The forward was tipped for a very bright career after joining Oxford United on loan from Watford in 2019.

Since then Sinclair has moved on loan to CSKA Moscow where he is spending the season.

Constable made 190 appearances for the U's during his time at the club.

After leaving in 2014 the striker is now playing for Banbury United as he seems out the remaining years of his career.

The forward spent time on loan with Oxford United in 2017.

Since then van Kessel has moved to Olympiakos Nicosia in Cyprus where he is currently plying his trade.

The left back has made over 100 appearances for the club before moving on in 2017.

Now 31 years of age Skarz is playing for Grantham Town.

The defensive midfielder hasn't played for the club since 2014 but did make over 100 appearances during his time with the U's.

Hall is now with Torquay United in the fifth tier of English football.
