Birmingham City have seen a host of players pass through St Andrew’s in recent years.

Currently, the squad are under the stewardship of Pep Clotet, but a consistent change of management in the Midlands has naturally seen overhaul after overhaul with the playing squad.

Some that have arrived at St Andrew’s have been a success, but others have flopped.

But what of those who have gone on to play for an obscure side?

Birmingham have had a few of those, which leads us down the path of looking at a handful of names and where they’ve ended up.

Take a look…

Jerome is a high-profile name when it comes to English football, with Birmingham one of the many clubs he played for.

His last spell in England came with Derby County, but he’s since made his way to Turkey and is currently on the books with Goztepe.

In 42 appearances, he’s struck seven goals since making that move in 2018.

Solomon-Otabor passed through the Birmingham academy, making 30+ appearances for Blues.

He had loan spells with Oxford, Bolton, Blackpool and Portsmouth, before departing St Andrew’s on a permanent basis.

Heading for Bulgaria, Solomon-Otabor now plays for CSKA Sofia.

Lowry made only two appearances during his spell with Birmingham and you could be forgiven for forgetting all about the Australian.

He headed to Perth Glory on the back of his St Andrew’s spell and is now with Al Ahli SC in Qatar.

Williams was with Birmingham in the early 2000s, but made little impact during his time at St Andrew’s.

His career has taken him right across the English game, but now he’s with Hashtag United, who weren’t formed until 2016.

He’s been there since 2018.

Gnahore began his professional career with Birmingham, but is another to have little impact during his time with the Blues.

He’s currently on the books permanently with Amiens, but is out on loan with China, representing Wuhan Zall FC, who he joined earlier in 2020.

Given the current world situation, this is the perfect place to sign off.
