Crewe Alexandra have announced that they have reached an agreement to sell the club to a group of local investors and supporters.
Gresty Holdings (Crewe) Limited have agreed to sell all of their shares to the group, and it’s a move that will certainly go down well with supporters.
It has also been revealed that no single shareholder will own more than 12.5% of shares within the club, which will also be pleasing to see for their future.
The Railwaymen are currently sat top of the League Two table after a hugely impressive start to this year’s league campaign under David Artell.
They have one of their toughest tests of the season at the weekend though, as they take on Swindon Town in what is certain to be a closely-fought battle at Gresty Road.
It’s safe to say that plenty of the club’s supporters were delighted with this recent announcement.

Let’s hope the club can move on and up with fewer distractions than ever. That’s good news.
