New Sheffield Wednesday manager Steve Bruce will have a decision to make regarding long-term absentees Kieran Lee and Gary Hooper, after it was reported in the Sheffield Star that both were still 'a while away' from a return.

Caretaker manager Steve Agnew suggested that their was no time-frame on the duo's return as both were still in the early stages of their rehab.

So could this mean that the injured pair's days are numbered at Hillsborough?

If a player is out for a long time and then gets injured on the way back – then they soon get forgotten about.

I think both are doomed to be out of the club sooner rather than later – but that is easier said than done.

Players who are injured are harder to shift, but I would imagine in the summer the pair will be out of the club.

Without a doubt.

You have to feel sorry for them, but the reality is they are costing Sheffield Wednesday a lot of money and they're getting nothing in return.

It's a shame but they are both unlikely to be at Hillsborough next season.

George Dagless

You'd think so.

Both are good players but how long can you wait?

I can't imagine Steve Bruce is going to stick around with them for too long to be honest so it might be last chance saloon time.
