Sheffield United have been excelling this season under manager Chris Wilder, with the Blades sitting in fourth place just four points off  leaders Norwich City, ahead of the trip to Rotherham this weekend in the Championship.

The Blades had been top of the table before defeat to Nottingham Forest and a draw in the Steel City derby knocked them off their perch, prior to the international break.

But which Sheffield United player has exceeded expectations so far this season?

We discuss.....

George Dagless

I'm going to say David McGoldrick.

He has looked a decent signing for the Blades when some probably felt as though he'd struggle for minutes.

When fit, he's got plenty to offer the Blades' cause.

Jay Taylor

Billy Sharp has certainly exceeded expectations.

Considering he is 32-years-old, he already has ten goals in 13 starts this term and has been the catalyst behind Sheffield United’s elevated form.

For a striker in the twilight of his career, he is certainly in the best form of his life and that is certainly to the Blades’ benefit.

Sam Rourke

I'd say Dean Henderson.

Yes, he was highly-rated, but he has come into a massive club like Sheffield United and performed superbly between the sticks.

He is already a fan favourite and at such a young age to be producing performances like he is, you have to admire him.
