Nottingham Forest have endured a tough season, with things not really improving under Aitor Karanka who took over at the start of 2018.

The former Boro boss has achieved some impressive results, however major issues in front of goal have seriously hampered his side.

In 16 games since his appointment, the Reds have incredibly failed to score in 11 of those.

Yet, the Spaniard has already shown he is prepared to be ruthless after a big turnover of players in January and the same could happen again this summer, as Karanka has had enough time to assess the squad properly.

Here we look at three players who could be shown the door...

The former Wolves defender can't get a look-in at the minute, which is particularly worrying for the player considering left-back Danny fox is preferred in central defence.

Unfortunately, Mancienne hasn't done enough when he was given a chance and with a new centre-back sure to arrive in the summer, he will be pushed further down the pecking order, so a move seems likely.

The 25-year old is a long way away from the first team under Karanka and will also have to move in the summer if he is to get game time.

He has played just one league game under the Spaniard, Wolves away, and despite the 2-0 win he hasn't got a minute in the league since, with Ben Watson and Jack Colback arriving.

We've already covered just how poor Forest have been in the final third and given that at least two strikers have to be a priority for Karanka in the summer.

Considering Ben Brereton is ahead of Vellios in Karanka's plans that means he too will have to consider a move away if he is to play first-team football.
