Derby County again will once again be fearing the worst as the end of the season approaches, with the Rams in serious danger of blowing a play-off place.

Gary Rowett's men are one place outside the play-offs after their shock defeat to Burton Albion on Saturday continued their poor run of form this year.

Unfortunately, an end of season collapse has been all to common for Derby fans over the years and unless they're promoted fans will want a major change of the playing squad this summer.

Here we look at three players who could be shown the door at Pride Park this summer...

The experienced full-back has done a decent job this year and is a very accomplished defender, however he will be 37-years old next season and not what Derby need.

A modern full-back should be an attacking threat as well as a capable defender and you don't get that from Baird, which is understandable.

If Rowett doesn't think Andre Wisdom is good enough then that's fine but they need an upgrade in that position this summer, which could see Baird depart.

Prior to the strange decision to let Johnny Russell go in January, Anya barely got a chance at Derby.

Therefore, Rowett clearly isn't a massive fan and a quick, dynamic winger has to be a priority in the summer.

Whilst Anya is versatile, Derby need to focus more on quality and that could spell the end of his career in the East Midlands.

One man who will be returning to Pride Park this summer is Chris Martin when his season-long loan at Reading is up.

It's fair to say the Royals, managed by former Rams boss Paul Clement, won't be wanting him after his struggles this season.

And, neither should Rowett. The fact he got rid of the Scotland international says a lot and despite the other strikers struggles in front of goal, Martin is not the answer.
