What a weekend it's going to be for Burton Albion as they take on Sunderland in a crucial game in the Championship.

It's been a tough season for the Brewers this year with them constantly trying to stay afloat and, right now, they are in danger of going down to League One.

However, if they can beat Sunderland they might still feel that they can achieve the great escape and that is what Nigel Clough and his men will be fully focused on right now.

Away from that, though, here at Football League World we've been thinking about three players that could potentially leave the Pirelli in the summer window.

Regardless of how the season ends, here are the trio we think might just be off...

Joe Sbarra is a talented young player who another side might look to poach from the Brewers - especially if they are relegated.

He's still got plenty to prove but he looks a sharp talent and one that fans of the club are fairly excited about.

He's started to catch the eye recently with some of his performances and that might have included the eye of potential suitors.

Tomas Egert's stay at the Pirelli has been far from a successful one.

The defender has only featured sparingly as a sub since arriving and though Nigel Clough has said that there is a part for him to play in the squad, it's looking increasingly likely that those words are wide of the mark.

It might be best if they part ways this summer.

Luke Varney is an experienced forward with plenty to offer and has at times helped Burton out in their fight to stay above the drop with some hard-working displays.

At 35-years-old he will want to be playing as much as possible, though, and even in League One that might not be guaranteed at Burton at this stage.

He might just consider a move away to finish his career as a regular starter.
