Rotherham didn’t need much coaxing to return to the Championship following relegation a year ago, they bounced straight back at the first time of asking.
Paul Warne’s side came through the play-offs to beat both Scunthorpe United and two-time Wembley losers Shrewsbury, giving them an immediate return to the level they left in 2017.
They had to reshuffle last summer to accommodate their return to League One, but after coming back they’ll once again have to reassess the situation. They’re Championship ready with their relatively new stadium a shining example of triumphing over adversity.
