Millwall surprised everyone with their top six assault last season and, although they fell short at the last hurdle, it will surely have given fans hope of a big push this coming season.
They do need to recruit and missing out on Ben Marshall will have hurt them somewhat, but that won’t set them back too much. Tom Bradshaw is edging towards an £800,000 switch from Barnsley as Neil Harris continues to recruit on a budget.
They might not have the spending power of their rivals but they do have an immense team spirit and whoever joins will be quickly gobbled up in the cult of Millwall, the ‘us against the world’ mentality which saw them finish above Leeds, Sheffield Wednesday and Sunderland in the Championship table.
That policy of recruitment on a tight budget can only be helped by a couple of players moving on, freeing up wages and a squad place, so FLW have identified two players we believe Neil Harris is going to axe very soon.
