Millwall surprised everyone with their top six assault last season and, although they fell short at the last hurdle, it will surely have given fans hope of a big push this coming season.

They do need to recruit and missing out on Ben Marshall will have hurt them somewhat, but that won't set them back too much. Tom Bradshaw is edging towards an £800,000 switch from Barnsley as Neil Harris continues to recruit on a budget.

They might not have the spending power of their rivals but they do have an immense team spirit and whoever joins will be quickly gobbled up in the cult of Millwall, the 'us against the world' mentality which saw them finish above Leeds, Sheffield Wednesday and Sunderland in the Championship table.

That policy of recruitment on a tight budget can only be helped by a couple of players moving on, freeing up wages and a squad place, so FLW have identified two players we believe Neil Harris is going to axe very soon.

The former Wimbledon man made 28 appearances for Millwall last season, but a majority of those came from the bench.

He signed a two-year deal last summer which means there's just a year left and Harris could feel that cashing in now prevents a more significant loss later on.

In the natural scheme of things any new face goes into the team, a first team player drops to the bench and the likes of Elliott seek employment elsewhere.

Donovan is a young player that needs to be playing and he might not get the chance at the Den this coming season.

A loan deal might be the perfect idea for him now to get some more minutes as the Lions aim to get back towards the top six this coming campaign.
