It has been a heartbreaking week for Leeds United fans, who witnessed their club slammed out of the play-offs after a dramatic night at Elland Road.

Derby County got the better of the Whites over two legs, with Harry Wilson and Mason Mount impressing for Frank Lampard's young side.

Leeds' season will go down as a failure, but on so many levels it was a heavily impressive campaign under Marcelo Bielsa.

The Argentine coach came in with a definite style and identity, and Leeds improved week by week, having their best season in a decade.

It wasn't to be for Bielsa and Leeds this season though, but it seems likely he will stay for next season at least.

Knowing his meticulous nature, it won't be long before he starts planning for next season though, as he will sit down with the hierarchy to plot the summer plans.

Leeds will look to add to their squad as they look to go one better next year and achieve automatic promotion.

One player that could come in and improve the team, though, is Mateusz Bogusz, the young Polish midfielder who plays for the Leeds u23 side.

Signing from Ruch in January, the youngster has excelled in the youth setup at Leeds, and looks ready to be part of the squad for the Whites next season.

He made 19 appearances in Poland's 2. Liga, scoring five goals along the way.

Now though, his attention will be on breaking into the Leeds first team, knowing Bielsa is heavily insistent on promoting from within.

We have seen this season that Bielsa is not shy to use his youth players, with many debuts being handed out this season, showing the success of Leeds' academy.

Bogusz is small, pacy and has an eye for a pass. He has a sense of space and knows where to be at all times, and can pop up in the box to score goals too.

It is a position that Leeds will look to strengthen this summer via signings, but the teenager could certainly provide depth.

He is only 17 so he has years on his side, but Mateusz Bogusz is a name to remember at Elland Road.
