Daniel Stendel's Barnsley are pushing Sunderland and Luton hard for a place in the Championship next season.

After Portsmouth's recent poor form it looks much like a three-horse race at the top, with the trio fighting for one of two automatic promotion spots.

The play-offs await the side who fail to crack the top two, with Barnsley currently the side fearing for their place. They're two points clear of Sunderland, but the Black Cats have a game in hand taking the advantage out of the Tykes' grasp.

Even so, they've done terrifically well to still be in the hunt at this stage. They were ten points behind Portsmouth at one point, but the recent run of form has seen them mount a serious and sustained challenge.

Manager Daniel Stendel has been nominated for Manger of the Month in League One and he's posed the question as to whether Barnsley fans think he'll win it on Instagram.
