West Bromwich Albion have confirmed that striker Salomon Rondon has left the club to link up with Rafael Benitez at Dalian Yifang.
The Venezuelan spent last season playing under Benitez while on loan at Newcastle United, and the forward has now cut short his four-year stay at The Hawthorns to join the Spaniard at his new club in China.
Rondon leaves the Midlands having scored 28 goals in 120 appearances for the Baggies while they were in the Premier League, while he also made a strong impact in the north-east last term as he netted 12 times in 33 league appearances.
Soon after news of his departure was confirmed, Rondon took to Twitter and issued a parting message to the club:
Time to take on a new challenge, thanks for your support!! pic.twitter.com/QX6wsqGo5q

Plenty of West Brom supporters responded to Rondon’s emotional post with many of them wishing the striker well for the future, while others were more critical in their messages.
