With Portsmouth having only lost one of their last five League One outings, things finally seem to be getting better for Pompey boss Kenny Jackett, who has overseen something of a mini revival for his side over the past few weeks.

Positive results against the likes of Bolton Wanderers and Doncaster Rovers in recent weeks have helped to calm fears, for the time being at least, amongst the Fratton Park faithful, who have been less than complimentary towards former Millwall boss Jackett this season.

The south coast club's reserves were in action today with Pompey taking on a Bristol Rovers team which included former Pompey winger Kyle Bennett within their ranks.

Pompey fans naturally saw the funny side today as news broke that Bennett, who last played for the club back in 2018, notched a free kick to draw his side level at 2-2 against his former employers.
