Fulham travelled to South Yorkshire last night to take on a Sheffield United side knowing that a win would see them overtake Wolves at the summit of the Championship table.

The three points returned to London with the Cottagers however, with Slavisa Jokanovic’s running out 5-4 winners in arguably the game of the season so far.

A topsy-turvy affair at Bramall Lane saw the visitors come out on top, with a Ryan Sessegnon hat-trick and a Sheyi Ojo brace settling the tie in Yorkshire.

Ojo, who has just returned to first team affairs following a spell on the sidelines, looked like the classy player Liverpool splashed a fair bit of money on as an 18-year-old, with the pacey winger tearing the Blades back-line apart with a magnificent display.

Two goals and an assist to boot marked Ojo’s finest display in a Fulham jersey, and fans will be delighted to see the promising young Englishman finally living up to his potential as one of the brightest young players in the English game.

Ojo thanked fans for their support in a Twitter post, with the Fulham faithful congratulating the player on what was a fantastic display…
