Football League World’s Leeds United fan pundit Bradley Marshall has called on the club to offer versatile midfielder Stuart Dallas a new deal.

It comes after Football Insider reported encouraging news regarding Kalvin Phillips’ own situation and Marshall now feels that the club’s unsung hero, whose current deal is set to expire in the summer, should be next in line for a pay-rise.

“Stuart Dallas has to be at the top of the list for me,” the regular punter told Football League World.

“He was a standout player at the end of last season and without him, we would have ended the season in an even poorer fashion.

“Not only this but he has started this season as he ended the last, by solidifying his place in the team, and then deservedly getting himself on the score sheet against Stoke.

“He has been one of the most consistent players so far and you can’t help but like the guy as you know he’s leaving everything on the pitch.

“You have to remember that he was brought in as a winger rather than a full-back, yet at this very moment is one of the most dangerous full-backs in the league.”

Championship Picks

Last season saw Dallas make 27 league appearances, including matches as a left-winger, left-back, right-winger and right-back, proving crucial in what was an injury-ravaged campaign.

He also appeared in both legs of their play-off semi-final with Derby County, scoring twice in the second-leg, as they were dramatically beaten by the Rams.

With Luke Ayling missing the start of the current campaign, Marcelo Bielsa has once again turned to the Northern Irishman, playing in five of their six Championship matches so far.

The Whites suffered their first loss of the season on Saturday against Swansea City, knocking them out of the top-two positions ahead of the international break.
