‘You cannot blame him’ – Was 25-year-old wrong to leave Bristol City? Opinion

Joe Bryan left Bristol City in the summer to join newly promoted Fulham, who spent a hefty amount of money in that window.

The energetic full back looked a great signing for Jokanovic’s men at the time, and although he has played regularly, Fulham have seriously underperformed and look set to be relegated.

Should he have stayed with Lee Johnson at Bristol City, though?

We debate…

Lewis Steele

“No chance.

“If you’re a player and a Premier League club comes knocking, you have to say yes. He may have never got the chance again.

“I think Fulham are down and he hasn’t been excellent, but he still has something to offer the Cottagers.”

Gary Hutchinson

“He’s played 19 times in the top flight, so probably not.

“He got a big move from a club with no Premier League experience.

“He’s working with better coaches, playing better opposition.

“It was the right move.”

Sam Rourke

“You cannot blame him.

“Yes, it’s not been the best season for himself and Fulham, but you can’t knock him for wanting a move to the Premier League.

“I can see him being Fulham’s left-back for years to come, if i’m honest.
