Plenty of Birmingham City fans have reacted to a message from Jude Bellingham on social media, following the 5-4 defeat to Leeds United in the Championship yesterday.

Bellingham has been one of the standout players for Birmingham so far this season and is building a reputation as one of the most exciting young talents in the country.

The 16-year-old midfielder scored his third goal of the campaign yesterday, as Birmingham suffered defeat in a nine-goal thriller against Leeds at St Andrew's.

Helder Costa put Leeds ahead in the 15th minute and Jack Harrison made it 2-0 six minutes later, before Bellingham pulled one back for the Blues, shooting low into the corner past Kiko Casilla.

Birmingham equalised on 61 minutes through Lukas Jutkiewicz, but Leeds took the lead again shortly afterwards through Luke Ayling.

After Jeremie Bela had equalised again for the Blues, Stuart Dallas scored to put Leeds 4-3 ahead, only for Jutkiewicz to equalise again in the 91st minute.

Just when the game looked set to end in a draw, Wes Harding turned Ayling's cross into his own net to win it for Leeds and send the Whites top of the Championship table.

After the game, Bellingham took to social media to reflect on the defeat and sent a message to Blues fans on Twitter. The teenager insisted that he felt the result was harsh on Birmingham, but admitted that it was nice to get back on the scoresheet.
