York City sign Luke Summerfield

According to BBC Sport, York City have signed midfielder Luke Summerfield on a two year contract.
Summerfield was released in May by League Two rivals Shrewsbury when the club were relegated and Micky Mellon was appointed as manager. He played 64 games for Shrewsbury in two years and will be looking to match that at York City.
The signing of Luke Summerfield will make this the sixth addition to the squad at Bootham Crescent and will put them in good stead for the upcoming season.
York City have recently signed Southend winger Anthony Straker, Wycombe full-back Marvin McCoy, Barnet striker Jake Hyde, Tranmere goalkeeper Jason Mooney and full-back Femi Ilesanmi.
