Nottingham Forest defender Yohan Benalouane has posted a passionate message on social media, claiming that the future if bright for the club, with some talented young players coming through.

The 32-year-old missed the start of the season for Forest with a hip injury, but after spending months on the sidelines, the defender finally made his first appearance for the Reds this campaign against Chelsea in the FA Cup at the weekend.

For the clash at Stamford Bridge - which Chelsea won 2-0 - Forest head coach Sabri Lamouchi made several chances to his starting line-up and decided to give several young players a chance.

The likes of young talents Brennan Johnson, Alex Mighten, Tyrese Fornah and Yassine En-Neyah all featured against Chelsea and all impressed.

A couple of those players were in action against again afternoon, as Forest's Under-23s returned to the top of the Professional Development League with a 2-1 win over Burnley at the City Ground.

Following the result, Benalouane posted a message on his personal Instagram story, admitting that he is really proud of the young players at Forest and that the future is bright for the club.

The Verdict

Nottingham Forest have got some very talented youngsters on their books and those that were lucky enough to play against Chelsea in the FA Cup at the weekend should be very pleased with how they performed.

They've just got to make sure that they remain grounded and keep working hard, if they do that, they could have very bright futures ahead of them.

The youngsters currently at the club will be hoping to follow in the footsteps of the likes of Matty Cash and Joe Worrall to establish themselves as key players for the senior side in the future.
