Nottingham Forest will be looking to pick up from where they left off before the international break, as they prepare to face Bristol City at Ashton Gate this weekend.

The Reds defeated arch rivals Derby County by a goal to nil before heading into the third international break of the campaign, ensuring that they would sit in a very promising position heading into a hectic winter period.

Sabri Lamouchi's side currently occupy fifth spot in the Sky Bet Championship table, and sit three points off the automatic promotion places with a game in hand on the teams above them.

Next week, Forest face two promotion rivals on the road - on Wednesday, they face Queens Park Rangers in West London, but before that, they face Bristol City on Saturday afternoon.

The Robins sit level on points with Forest, and haven't lost at Ashton Gate since their opening day defeat to Leeds United, so they are undoubtedly a force to be reckoned with.

Forest have only lost once on the road this season, though, and they will be very confident heading down to Bristol this weekend.

This week would have given players the chance to recuperate, enjoy downtime and prepare for what is set to be a hectic winter schedule.

Can you score 14 out of 14 on this Nottingham Forest quiz?

On Wednesday night, Yohan Benalouane, who is yet to make a full return from injury, enjoyed downtime in Nottingham City Centre's Market Square with Matty Cash, Joe Worrall, Carl Jenkinson and Brice Samba.

The players were filmed sliding down an inflatable slide, as the city gets into the festive spirit.

The Verdict

Benalouane will be desperate to make a return from injury as soon as possible.

Michael Dawson and Joe Worrall have been superb this season, and in Dawson's absence, Chema and Tobias Figueiredo have stepped up to the plate really well.

I can't see him breaking into Lamouchi's team anytime soon, so he will have to work so hard in training in order to impress.
