According to the Daily Mail, West Bromwich Albion are looking to take Leeds United defender, Charlie Taylor, to The Hawthorns next season.

Taylor has been a regular feature in the Leeds starting 11 over the past two seasons, but looks set to leave Elland Road at the end of the current campaign.

The 23-year old is out of contract in the summer and is unlikely to sign a new deal with his boyhood club, after handing in a transfer request last year, alerting Premier League side West Brom.

Despite Leeds unable to negotiate a transfer fee for Taylor, they will be entitled to compensation for the talented left-back.

Taylor has been impressive for Garry Monk’s side this season, making 31 appearances across all competitions and adding three assists.

An Achilles injury just before Christmas saw Taylor miss a large part of early 2017, and the left-back has struggled to regain his place in the starting 11, with Gaetano Berardi performing admirably in his absence.

However, Monday’s defeat to Wolverhampton Wanderers saw Leeds slip out of the Play-Offs for the first time since November, and with just three fixtures of the season remaining, Taylor will be pushing for a recall to the starting 11.
