Former Leicester City and Watford manager Nigel Pearson is set to take charge at out-of-form Championship side Bristol City according to The Guardian.

Pearson has been out of work since being relieved of his duties as Watford’s manager back in July 2020, but clearly sees this as the ideal opportunity at this stage of his career.

It is also claimed by The Guardian that the 57-year-old will sign a short-term deal with Bristol City until the end of this year’s campaign, with a longer deal potentially being on offer to Pearson in the summer.

Can you remember how many goals Bristol City's top goalscorers from over the years netted?

Plenty of the Ashton Gate faithful took to social media to issue their thoughts on Pearson’s seemingly imminent appointment at the club.
