Aston Villa continued their rampant run of form on Wednesday night when dispatched a plucky Rotherham United side 2-1.

They fell behind with just over 30 minutes played, however, when the Millers' star man Will Vaulks tucked away a penalty, but Villa roared back in the second half.

In a frantic six minute spell after the restart, Jonathan Kodjia levelled things with a spot-kick of his own before a wonderfully worked goal was started and finished by Jack Grealish to ensure Dean Smith's side extended their run to seven wins on the bounce.

It truly was a magnificent second goal and one that epitomises Dean Smith as a manager.

However, one player who looks set to play no part for him next season is his former striker Scott Hogan.

Currently out on loan at Sheffield United, the former Brentford striker was linked with a move to Bristol City.

Whilst their boss may have a connection with him, it is safe to say that the Villa fans would not be sorry to see him go...
