After a bright opening part of the season, Nottingham Forest have rapidly declined, with defeat against Fulham on Tuesday their fifth in six games.

What's more, the problems are clear for everyone to see with the bottom two, Bolton and Sunderland, along with Burton the only teams to have conceded more goals.

The pressure has increased in recent games on manager Mark Warburton with some fans desperate for him to adapt his current style to get better results.

Whilst it's admirable the way he wants to play, Forest clearly don't have the personnel for it at the moment and it's showing on the pitch.

The January transfer window will provide the ex-Rangers man with a chance to bring in a few more players suited to this way of playing, but he should also look at shipping a few out, whether it be to bring in extra funds or for youngsters to gain experience.

Apostolos Vellios

The Greek forward has barely had a look in this season with Daryl Murphy the main man up front and summer signing Jason Cummings another option for Mark Warburton among others.

Vellios has been restricted to one first-team appearance in the Carabao Cup and has not made the bench since the opening day in a league game.

Warburton responded to fans wondering why he hasn't got a look-in by stating there was simply too much competition. Therefore, a move seems probable in the window.

Tyler Walker

Walker is another who has largely been restricted to Carabao Cup fixtures and at his age a loan move could be perfect for him.

The son of the legendary Des, Walker has had brief spells on loan over the years, but needs a longer period in a side to truly flourish.

Game time is unlikely to materialise this season, so the 20-year old should be sent out in the hope it will really benefit his career and perhaps set him up to break into the side for next season.
