Stoke City striker Sam Vokes has been in and out of the club's starting eleven for much of the season so far, with the 30-year-old Welshman having had to settle for a place on the bench more recently due to the form of Tyrese Campbell.

The former Burnley striker only has three goals to his name and has so far really struggled to nail down a starting place under Nathan Jones or more recently Michael O'Neill.

With the Potters having a spate of injuries to contend with heading into their weekend clash with QPR, the Stoke-on-Trent side may well give Vokes the nod to start up front alongside Campbell as they look to increase the gap between themselves and the relegation zone.

Given the striker's recent absence from the team, we felt now was a good time for Football League World Journalist Chris Thorpe to ask members of the STOKE CITY fans from all around the world Facebook group if they would hand Vokes a start against QPR tomorrow, promoting widespread responses from the Potters faithful.

Here, we take a look at some of the best responses given to the question via social media.

Tony Clutton: No.

Steve Whitehouse: Yeah but put Ince on the left and Campbell on the right as well.

Trevor Coxon: I haven't got a clue but the manager is running out of options!

Jamie Coker: No, offers very little in terms of goal scoring threat.

Craig Willis: I’m sure the guy runs in reverse.

Stuart Hulse: Yes play two up front everytime.

Stephen Emery: Definitely not.

Andrew Norman: Yes he should.

Christian Hancock: No, it's too easy to predict what we are going to do when he comes on.

Simon Arkinstall: Not a chance. Please give Diouf a chance, got to be better off than Vokes.

Gareth Perry: Only if we playing two up top.

Nick Whitehead: No.
