Three goals in his last five appearances, it seems that Cardiff striker Danny Ward is starting to find his feet.

Signed in the summer, the 26-year-old had initially found it hard to get regular playing time, with Kenneth Zohore often preferred over him.

But with Zohore out injured, Ward has had to step up to fill the void.

Is it fair to say that Ward's now starting to prove his worth at the Bluebirds?

Three goals in his last five appearances tell you that he is developing into a key part of Warnock’s playing squad.

Ward is scoring crucial goals at crucial times for Cardiff, and the 25-year-old’s strike against Nottingham Forest on Sunday deserves a special mention.

Cardiff haven’t fallen away in the race for automatic promotion yet, despite Kenneth Zohore’s injury – Ward is one of the reasons for that.

Chris Gallagher

Yes, although I'm not sure how long he'll be in the team!

Kenneth Zohore is due back soon, perhaps the next game, and I can see Warnock turning to the big Dane immediately.

However, Ward has given him a real dilemma and deserves huge credit for the way he fought for a place in the team. It's a long season and he will be needed on many more occasions if Cardiff are to get promoted.

George Dagless

It looks that way.

Once again Cardiff have rallied after looking as though they'd run out of steam and Ward has been part of the solution.

When players go off the boil you need your squad options to step up and take their chance and, thankfully for Warnock, that is what Ward has done.

Adam Simeoni

He's beginning to settle, that's for sure. Ward did well at Rotherham last year in a relegation scrap, which is a very different atmosphere to a promotion surge.

A big fish in a little pond last year, Ward has had to adapt to fighting for a starting place, and has risen to the challenge in recent weeks.
