Norwich City have confirmed on the club's official website that Christoph Zimmermann has signed a permanent deal with the club.

Christoph Zimmermann has become Norwich's fourth signing of the summer after they completed the loan capture of Manchester City goalkeeper Angus Gunn and the permanent signings of Barnsley's Marley Watkins and Mario Vrancic from Darmstadt.

Zimmermann has followed new manager Daniel Farke from Borussia Dortmund II to Norwich City.

The 24-year-old stands at 6ft4in and is known as a powerful centre half with a commanding presence.

After spells with Borussia Monchengladbach II and Borussia Dortmund II, the German defender has decided to move to England.

Zimmermann joins on a free transfer and has penned a two year deal with the Canaries, who have an option to extend it by a further twelve months.
