Chelsea opened the scoring on 20 minutes when former Derby County and MK Dons loanee Patrick Bamford scored after Oriol Romeu's long pass was hooked across goal by Nathan Ake and Bamford was there to hit home for the EPL side.

Wycombe came close shortly before half time when Bamford had to clear a shot from Aaron Pierre off the line. Nathaniel Chalobah did enough to prevent Steven Craig a full header to a cross and new Chelsea man Kurt Zouma a early replacement for Todd Kane who went off injured saw a downward header blocked off as Bamford's 20 minute goal separated the 2 sides at half time.

Into the second half and a cross from young left back Jay Dasilva found Izzy Brown to hit home a volley inside the far post, Matt Ingram in the Wycombe goal had no chance and Chelsea had doubled their lead 2-0 to the EPL side after 48 minutes.

Chelsea's Jeremie Boga had a shot saved by Ingram and from the resulting corner Chelsea made it 3-0 when Boga delivered the ball deliberately low into the path of Chelsea captain John Terry who scored and went to congratulate his teenage team-mate 50 minutes were on the clock.

Moments later another set-piece from Boga and Branislav Ivanovic sliced the ball over the bar after seeing a header saved by the keeper. Shortly after Ivanovic had missed a brilliant chance he redeemed himself on 67 minutes when he headed home a Boga free-kick to give Chelsea a 4-0 lead.

Bloomfield got a standing ovation from both Wycombe and Chelsea supporters when he was replaced on his testimonial.

Izzy Brown completed the scoring for Chelsea when he scored his second and Chelsea's 5th when he hit home a sweet strike into the top corner from just outside the area.
