Wycombe enquire about bringing Beavon back

Published

on

Wycombe Wanderers have enquired about bringing former striker Stuart Beavon back to Adams Park, writes the Bucks Free Press

But the deal his current club Preston North End are wanting, could prove too expensive for Wanderers.

The striker moved to Preston in August 2012 after hitting 25 goals for Wycombe the previous season.

The 30-year-old made 33 appearances for the Lilywhites last season but only found the net three times.

He made an immediate impact by scoring on his debut and went on to score ten goals in his first season at Deepdale.

Beavon signed a contract extension with the Lancashire club in December last year which will keep him at Preston until the summer of 2015 but that hasn’t stopped Wycombe enquiring about the possibility of taking him on loan.
