Leeds United manager Marcelo Bielsa appears to have sent a clear message to midfield duo Luke Murphy and Eunan O'Kane, with both players being named to play for the under-23 squad this afternoon.

The team news for their friendly with Osset United, appears to be a strong indication from manager Bielsa that he will not be using both players in the coming season, with the duo also failing to make an appearance in pre-season for the Whites.

O'Kane, who was often vilified by the Leeds fans last season, and Murphy, who has failed to ever really make the grade since making a move from Crewe Alexandra, will no doubt both be keen on moves away from the club if this is to be an indication of their future.

New manager Bielsa is clearly looking to put his stamp on the squad following being appointed as Leeds gaffer last month, and seeing Murphy and O'Kane out of the squad appears to be a key move from the Argentinian as he looks to shape his squad.

The Whites will be hoping Bielsa can finally lead them to promotion back to the Premier League this term after over a decade out of the top flight. Last season saw both Thomas Christiansen and Paul Heckingbottom fail to make any impact on proceedings at Elland Road.

Leeds fans, what do you make of this? Is time up for the duo? Let us know your thoughts!
